Subtle System
18th Century depictions of the Subtle System of Chakras, from Nepal and Northern India.
Johann Georg Gichtel (1638-1710)
From a Western alchemical text. The path from the heart through the seven chakras to the crown of the head creates a spiral of 3.5 coils like the of Kundalini itself.
With an eye made quiet by the power Of harmony, and the deep power of joy. We see into the life of things.
- Wordsworth, Tintern Abbey
We can't see the subtle body and it's chakras (psychospiritual energy centres) but hopefully these images will give a feel for the qualities theses centres possess.
Artistic creativity is one way of opening up the Swadisthana Chakra.

The Value of Matter
"Actually to be materialistic, in the real sense, is that we understand the value of matter. And the value of matter is aesthetics: artistic things, real artistic things. And beyond that, the value of matter is that you can give love to others."

The Western alchemical figure is by Johann Georg Gichtel (1638-1710) and represents the planets inside the human body.
Thanks John
I would welcome any suggestions
